Providence College Women's Swimming And Diving Team To "Pink Out The Pool" Versus Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - This Wednesday, November 16 at 6 p.m. the Providence College women's swimming & diving team (0-2) will travel to Kingston, R.I. to take on the University of Rhode Island Rams (1-2). This meet, swam by the women's team only, will also be the Second Annual Pink Out The Pool fundraiser. Last year the Rams defeated the Friars 150-125 in Providence.
The PINK OUT was created to help raise awareness for breast cancer research. PINK OUT t-shirts, which both teams will be sporting, will be sold for $10 at the Tootell Aquatics Center door. Like last year all proceeds will be donated to The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. For more information on the foundation please, click here.
For this event both teams will also be wearing pink and white swim caps and the pool will be decorated with pink and white lane markers, pink and white balloons and pink and white streamers. In addition, pink ribbons and Taco Bell gift certificates will be made available to all fans.
