Providence College freshman Shelby Greany (Suffern, N.Y.) competed in the final day of the NCAA Track & Field Championship on June 12 in Eugene, Ore. Competing in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Greany finished sixth with a time of 10:00.88 and earned All-America honors for the first time in her brief collegiate career. It also marked the 136th All-American that legendary Providence coach Ray Treacy has guided.
Greany, who set an American junior record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday, June 10 in the preliminaries, improved her American junior record by four seconds.
