PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Former Friar and current Minnesota Timberwolves star Ryan Gomes returned to the Providence College campus on Tuesday, May 12. Gomes, who had not been to the campus in several years, visited Friar head coach Keno Davis and toured the renovated athletic facilities. He also spent time catching up with old friends, including strength coach Kenny White, women's basketball head coach Phil Seymore and senior Randall Hanke.
The former Friar All-American was very impressed with the new facilities and the renovations to the men's basketball complex.
"All of these facilities are first-class," Gomes said. "The lockerrooms, the offices, the Hallway of Legends, the sports medicine facility and the strength and conditioning complex have all been renovated and are state-of-the art. I wish I still had some eligibility left. This program has everything a player needs to get prepared for BIG EAST competition and the next level."
