BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College women's indoor track team competed at the New England Championships on February 25-26 in Boston, Mass. Providence, which had only three competitors, finished in 14th-place out of 31 teams.
Junior Fiona Crombie (Christchurch, New Zealand) finished second in the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:34.21 to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Championships. Freshman Michelle Childs (Cameron, Ontario) placed seventh in a time of 9:57.69 as she qualified for the ECAC's on March 5-6.
In the 800 meters, senior Roisin Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) finished in second-place in a time of 2:12.20 as she also qualified for the ECAC's.
The Friars will compete on March 5-6 at the ECAC Championships.
