Men's Hockey Ranked 13th in National Polls

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's hockey team is ranked 13th in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll and the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll, which were released on Monday, October 20. It marks the first time since March 9, 2003 that PC has been ranked in the top 15.

Boston College maintained the top spot in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll, but New Hampshire climbed to No. 1 in the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll as BC fell to the second spot.

Providence is coming off a weekend sweep of Minnesota State (2-1, 5-3) on October 17-18. The Friars, who improved to 4-0, are one of six Hockey East teams ranked in the top 15 of the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll and one of five teams in the USCHO.com Poll.

Providence returns to action on Friday, October 24 when it begins Hockey East play against Boston University at Schneider Arena.
