PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College Hockey hosted Alumni Weekend from August 16-18. Over 70 former and current Friars participated in the three-day event.

On Saturday, August 17, Head Coach Paul Pooley unveiled the new hallway at Schneider Arena. The hallway is complete with a trophy case, murals and pictures of championship teams, Friar Olympians and All-Americans. Following the unveiling of the hallway, there was a golf outing at FireFly golf course in East Providence, R.I. Former Friar Ron Wilson '77 shot the best round with a two-under 58.

Alumni Weekend culminated with the Alumni Game on Sunday, August 18. One team consisted of players who played under former PC Head Coaches Lou Lamoriello and Mike McShane, while the other team was comprised of players who played under current Friar Head Coach Paul Pooley. Pooley's squad came out on top, 14-11.

"It was a tremendous event," Assistant Coach David Berard said. "Everyone was happy they (alumni) came back and we plan on having it next year as well. "
