BOSTON, Mass. - The Providence College women's indoor track team competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships, at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 1-3.
The distance medley relay team, made up of freshman Deirdre Byrne (Avoca, Ireland), senior Kate Gall (Cumberland, Md.), junior Emer O'Shea (Limerick, Ireland) and junior Roisin McGettigan (Wicklow, Ireland) earned fourth place with a time of 11:29.60.
In the 3,000-meter run senior Kathryn Casserly (Galway, Ireland) led three Friar runners with a seventh-place finish (9:47.33). Casserly was followed by freshman Mary Cullen (Sligo, Ireland) in 10th place (9:48.48), and sophomore Lisa Cappello (Lockport, N.Y.), who finished 18th (10:09.90).
