SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Providence College women's indoor track teams competed at the BIG EAST Championship in Syracuse, N.Y. on February 16-17. On the final day of competition, junior Roisin McGettigan (Wicklow, Ireland) earned the team's only individual title, with a first place finish in the mile run. McGettigan finished the event in a time of 4:57.05, and qualified for the ECAC Championship.
Junior Emer O'Shea (Limerick, Ireland) placed seventh in the 1,000-meter run, with a time of 2:56.81, and also qualifed for the ECAC Championship. Freshman Mary Cullen (Sligo, Ireland) qualified for ECAC's in the 3,000-meter run, finishing seventh in a time of 9:45.15.
