Women's Track Results From Valentine Invitational

Valentine Invitational at BU, Boston, Mass. - Feb. 12, 2000

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College women's track team competed at the St. Valentine Invitational at Boston University in Boston, Mass. on Saturday, February 12.

The Friars were led by sophomore Heather Cappello (Lockport, N.Y.), who won the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:22.81 and qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track Championship. Also in the 3,000 meters, sophomore Claire Shearman (Portsmouth, N.H.) finished 11th in a time of 9:56.25.

Junior Joan Bohlke (Old Saybrook, Conn.) won the 500 meters in a time of 1:17.06 and qualified for the ECAC Indoor Track Championship.
