Sarah Dupre Places 8th in NCAA 3,000 Meter Final

BOISE, Idaho -- Running in her final collegiate race, Providence College senior Sarah Dupre (Kingston, Ontario) placed eighth in the 3,000 meter finals in a time of 9:46.18 and earned All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship on Friday, May 4 in Boise, Idaho. With her eighth-place finish, Dupre earned the fourth All-America accolade of her career and her second this year (indoor track 5,000 meters).

Dupre, who has helped Providence College capture three BIG EAST Cross Country championships and three New England Cross Country titles in her four years at Providence, has had an impressive career for the Friars. In addition to earning two All-America accolades this year, she also won the BIG EAST Women's Cross Country Individual title, the BIG EAST Indoor 3,000 meter title and the ECAC Outdoor 5,000 meter Championship.
