Stephanie Schoeley Named To Canada's FIFA U20 World Cup Roster

The junior defender will represent Team Canada for this year's FIFA U20 World Cup.

PROVIDENCE, R.I – Providence College women's soccer defender Stephanie Schoeley (Thedford, Ontario) has been selected to the Team Canada's 21-player squad for the 2026 FIFA U20 World Cup. The World Cup will take place in Poland across four cities and will run from Sept. 5 to Sept. 27. 
 
Schoeley has been a three-year starter for the Friars, starting in 37 career games, totaling over 3,300 minutes on the field. Schoeley was just recently named BIG EAST Defender of the Week for her performance spanning over the week against UMass Lowell and Rhode Island.
 
Canada will play in Group B, where they will open the tournament against England on Sept. 5 at 12:00 ET. Other members of their pool play include Brazil and Tanzania, and all group-stage matches will be played at Stadion Miejski in Bielsko-Biala. Canada secured its spot after reaching the semifinals of the 2025 Concacaf Women's U20 Championship, where the team went on to win the regional title, their third title and first since 2008. Schoeley who was on the team, started in four games and scored one goal for Canada.
