PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Â Providence College women's soccer players
Stephanie Schoeley (Thedford, Ont.) and
Jocy Koffi (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) earned BIG EAST Weekly Honors on Monday, Aug. 17. Schoeley was named Defensive Player of the Week and Koffi was named Rookie of the Week following Providence's 1-1 tie against UMass Lowell on Aug. 12 and 3-0 victory against Rhode Island on Aug. 15.

Schoeley saw 180 minutes of action across the two games, as a part of the Friars' defense that surrendered just one goal over two matches. The junior defender anchored Providence's defense and only allowed one total shot from UMass Lowell last Wednesday.

Koffi scored her first and second career goals for the Friars across the two games, including a game-tying goal in the 87
thminute against UMass Lowell. The freshman made her debut for Providence's starting lineup and tallied 169 total minutes of play. Koffi's second goal came just 10 minutes into the match against Rhode Island. She totaled 17 shots (seven on target) throughout the two matches.

The Friars will return to action on Thursday, Aug. 20 when they face off against the Monmouth Hawks at 4:00 p.m. in Providence, R.I. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
