PROVIDENCE, R.I. The Providence College men's soccer team (2-5-0) are set to play cross-city rival Brown University (4-2-0) on Tuesday, Sept. 23 in Providence, R.I. at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
The Friars enter Tuesday's match looking to rebound from a 2-0 loss against Seton Hall in their BIG EAST Conference opener on Friday, Sept. 19.
Through seven games, the Friars have outshot opponents 98-64, which comes to an average of 14 shots per game, they also hold a 38-33 advantage in shots on target and hold a 49-19 advantage in corner kicks. Senior

Two returners earned All-BIG EAST honors last season for the Friars. Rosa earned All-BIG EAST Second Team. Senior midfielder
Diego Batista (Barcelos, Portugal) was named to the All-BIG EAST Third Team. Both Rosa and Batista were named to the 2025 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team on Aug. 19.

Pearse O'Brien (West Hartford, Conn.) enters his third season with the Friars. Throughout his career in Providence, he has solidified himself as a strong offensive threat, recording four goals and 11 assists. He was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team in 2024.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown comes into Tuesday's game sitting at 4-2-0 and are coming off a dominate 4-1 win against UMass Lowell in their last outing. The Bears returned their top two scorers from last season, senior midfielder Mads Stistrup Petersen and junior forward Lorenzo Amaral. Petersen has been a standout so far this season for the Bears, tallying three goals and two assists while Amaral leads the Bears in assists, with four, to go along with one goal. Amaral was the leading scoring last season for the Bears, netting eight goals with six assists for 22 total points and Petersen was second in scoring a year ago with 13 points.
