PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's golf team returns to action on Monday, Sept. 22 and Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial at Wethersfield Country Club in Wethersfield, Conn.

Play begins Monday morning at 8:00 am with round one. The second and final round will be played Tuesday. The field includes 14 other schools: Army West Point, Brown University, Bryant University, Eastern Connecticut State University, Fairfield University, Fordham University, Holy Cross, Iona University, Long Island University, Manhattan College, Rhode Island University, Sacred Heart University, Siena College and Villanova University.
Wethersfield Country Club, established in 1916, has existed for over 100 years as one of Connecticut's most historic golf courses. Originally designed by Robert D. Pryde, the par-71 course ranges 6,592 yards.
The Friars opened the season at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic on Sept. 8-9, placing eighth in the 13-team field with a score of 918 (+54). Freshman
Callan Fahey (Wheaton, Ill.) led Providence with a 10th-place finish at 221 (+5) in the 80-player field.
