SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.- The Providence College men's soccer team (2-4-0) will open BIG EAST play at Seton Hall University (2-1-3) on Friday, Sept. 19 in South Orange, N.J. at Owen T. Carroll Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
The Friars enter Saturday's match looking to rebound from a 2-1 loss against No. 17 Bryant.
Through six games, the Friars have outshot opponents 87-56, which comes to an average of 14.5 shots per game, and they hold a 40-18 advantage in corner kicks. Senior

Two returners earned All-BIG EAST honors last season for the Friars. Rosa earned All-BIG EAST Second Team. Senior midfielder
Diego Batista (Barcelos, Portugal) was named to the All-BIG EAST Third Team. Both Rosa and Batista were named to the 2025 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team on Aug. 19.

Pearse O'Brien (West Hartford, Conn.) enters his third season with the Friars. Throughout his career in Providence, he has solidified himself as a strong offensive threat, recording four goals and 11 assists. He was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team in 2024.
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
Seton Hall comes into Friday's game sitting at 2-1-3 and are coming off a decisive 3-0 win against Farleigh Dickeson in their last outing. Sophomore midfielder Til Kauschke has been a standout so far this season for the Pirates, tallying three goals and two assists. Junior center back Augustin Resch was named Preseason BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year going into this season and has remained steady for the Pirates, tallying one goal. This match is also the BIG EAST opener for the Pirates who were picked to finish fifth in the East Division.
