PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's soccer team was defeated by the No. 17 Bryant University Bulldogs, 2-1, on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 13 in Providence, R.I. With the loss, the Friars fall to 2-4-0 on the season.

• Providence opened the scoring in the seventh minute (6:16) as
Fernando Garcia Gil (Spain) netted his first goal of the season on an unassisted strike to make it 1-0.
• Bryant quickly answered seven minutes later (13:02) on a strike from Mamadi Jiana to tie it at 1-1.
• The Friars created several first-half opportunities, outshooting the Bulldogs, 6-3, in the first 45 minutes.
• In the 60th minute (59:18), Jaime Amaro broke the tie on a corner quick to give Bryant the 2-1 lead.
• Providence pressed late and produced four shots on target overall.
• The match featured six yellow cards – four to Bryant and two to Providence.
