Svedebäck Hits 50 Career Wins
Philip Svedeback hit the 50-win milestone last Friday against Merrimack, tying for fourth on the program's all-time wins list alongside Bill Milner.

Welcome, CHL'ers
Providence welcomes seven newcomers to the program with CHL experience due to the new NCAA rule change in the offseason: Donovan McCoy (Sudbury - OHL), Jonathan Fauchon (Rimouski - QMJHL), Beau Jelsma (Barrie - OHL), Kale McCallum (Val-d'Ors - QMJHL/U. of New Brunswick), Quinn Mantei (Brandon - WHL), Julius Sumpf (Moncton - QMJHL) and Roger McQueen (Brandon - WHL).

Nine Former Friars Make NHL Opening Night Rosters
Nine Providence College alums appeared on NHL rosters submitted for opening night - Jacob Bryson (BUF), Mark Jankowski (CAR), Jake Walman (EDM), Noel Acciari (PIT), Vincent Desharnais (SJ), Max Crozier (TB), Brandon Tanev (UTAH), Brandon Duhaime (WSH) and Parker Ford (WPG).

Hot Mustard
Sophomore John Mustard leads the Friars in scoring with 12 points in 11 games. His nine-game point streak to start the season, before being snapped on last Friday, was tied for the longest streak in the NCAA this season and is the longest by a Friar since Josh Wilkins' 13-game point streak in 2019.

Friars By The Numbers
The Friars are the ninth tallest roster in the NCAA (6'1"), seventh youngest (21.1 years). Providence is just one of only three programs to have one senior on their roster. The Friars boasted the sixth-most NHL players that appeared in games during the 2024-25 season with 14 total.

The Saskatchewan Connection
Three members of this year's roster hail from Saskatchewan - Hudson Malinoski, Roger McQueen and Quinn Mantei. Malinoski and McQueen are childhood friends and played together with the Saskatoon Blazers AAA squad in 2021-22. Mantei and McQueen were teammates with the Brandon Wheat Kings from 2022-25.

Drafted Friars
Providence boasts seven drafted players on the 2025-26 roster: Tomas Machu (NYI - 2021), Hudson Malinoski (TOR - 2023), John Mustard (CHI - 2024), Julius Sumpf (CHI - 2025), Roger McQueen (ANA - 2025), Logan Sawyer (MTL - 2024) and Philip Svedeback (BOS - 2021). McQueen became the highest draft pick in program history after being selected 10th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 2025. Friar commit Everett Baldwin was also selected in the 2025 NHL Draft, going to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round.
