NOTES
- The Minutemen broke a scoreless tie late in the second period with a power-play goal at 15:15. Lucas Olvestad let go of a shot from the left point that hit the skate of a PC defenseman at the top of the crease. The puck landed on the stick of Mikey DeAngalo at the right post and he slid it past PC netminder Philip Svedebäck for his fourth of the season.
- The Friars appeared to tie the game five minutes into the third when John Mustard fired a shot past UMass netminder Jackson Irving, however the play was called offsides.
- Providence finally broke through and tied the game with 2:47 remaining in regulation on a goal by Roger McQueen. Will Elger grabbed a loose puck in the left corner and slid the puck to Sumpf in the left circle, who tapped it to McQueen for a shot that beat Irving over the blocker.
- Mustard nearly won the game in OT with a shot that rang off the crossbar.
- DeAngelo's second of the night with 45 seconds remaining in OT gave the Minutemen the win. He skated through the slot before taking the puck to his backhand and beating Svedebäck over the glove.
