ST. PAUL, Minn. – John Mustard and Aleksi Kivioja scored third period goals as the No. 15/14 Providence College men's hockey team rallied from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 tie at St. Thomas on Saturday (Oct. 24).

NOTES
- The Friars killed off a pair of early power-play chances for the Tommies to keep the game scoreless through opening half of the period.
- St. Thomas took advantage of a fortunate bounce off a linesman as Nathan Pilling converted on a shorthanded breakaway at the 17:33 mark.
- The Tommies extended their lead to 2-0 at 4:18 on another shorthanded tally, this time from Lucas Van Vliet.
- Providence outshot St. Thomas by a 14-7 margin in the second period.
- Mustard got the Friars on the board just 3:40 into the third period with his third goal of the season. Will Elger's centering feed found Mustard in the slot as he finished off the one-timer. Roger McQueen also earned an assist on the play.
- The Friars got even with 7:14 left in regulation on Aleksi Kivioja's first strike of the season. Quinn Mantei earned his first NCAA point with a backdoor feed to Kivioja after taking a drop pass from Beau Jelsma.
- Providence had multiple quality looks in the final minutes or regulation and overtime but UST's Aaron Trotter kept the Friars at bay.
- The Tommies won the non-conference shootout, 2-0.
