PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College women's soccer team was defeated by the Army Black Knights, 2-1, on Sunday, September 1 at Malek Stadium on Clinton Field in West Point N.Y., R.I. The Friars moved to 2-2-1 in regular season play.

GAME FLOW AND NOTES
- Kacey Lawrence (Monroe, Conn.) scored for the Friars in the 14th minute to give Providence a 1-0 lead. Her unassisted goal beat the keeper in the top right corner of the net.
