PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College field hockey team will play back-to-back road games this weekend, beginning with a BIG EAST Conference match against Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 25. The Friars and Hoyas will square off in College Park, Md. at the University of Maryland and the game is scheduled to begin at Noon. Providence returns home to Rhode Island and heads to Brown University for a non-conference match on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 3:00 p.m.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE (6-8, 2-3 BIG EAST):
• The Friars enter the weekend with a 6-8 overall record, including a 2-3 mark in BIG EAST play. Four of the program's eight losses this season have come against nationally ranked opponents: No. 12 Michigan (8-1), No. 17 Boston College (3-1), No. 14 Liberty (2-1) and No. 20 Temple (1-0).
• Providence is coming off a 3-2 double-overtime victory against No. 5 Connecticut on Oct. 18 in Providence, R.I. Sophomore
Bo Martina scored the game-winning goal for Providence with 6:06 left in the second overtime.
• It marked the Friars' first victory over a top-five team in the national rankings since 2009. That season, Providence defeated No. 4 Princeton, 2-1, in Providence, R.I.
• UConn entered the game 4-0 in the BIG EAST Conference and had not yielded a goal to a league opponent.

Ally DeCoste and Martina are tied for the team lead in scoring this season, each compiling 13 points. DeCoste has a team-best six goals on the year to go along with one assist. Martina has four goals and a team-best five assists.
• Ten players on the roster have scored at least one goal this season and 11 players have registered at least one assist on the year.

Asia Porter has played 848 minutes in the cage this season and owns a 2.83 goals against average and a 0.588 save percentage. She recently earned the victory over No. 5 UConn with five saves and earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors (10/22).

SCOUTING GEORGETOWN (3-10, 1-4 BIG EAST):
• The Hoyas enter the weekend with a 3-10 overall record, including a 1-4 mark in the BIG EAST Conference.
• Georgetown is in the midst of a four-game winless streak and have scored just two goals during that span.
• The Hoyas' most recent victory dates back to Oct. 4 vs. BIG EAST foe Quinnipiac, which was a 2-1 overtime win in Hamden, Conn.
• Sophie Towne leads the Hoyas with eight points on three goals and two assists.
• Sydney Yodh is second on the team in scoring with seven points. She has recorded two goals and a team-best three assist.
• Ella Fahey has played the majority of minutes in the cage for Georgetown (595) and owns a 3.02 goals against average and a 0.712 save percentage. Bailey Tietz has played 185 minutes and has recorded a 3.25 goals against average and a 0.677 save percentage.
SCOUTING BROWN (7-6, 3-2 IVY LEAGUE):
• The Bears enter the weekend with a 7-6 overall record, including a 3-2 mark in the Ivy League.
• Brown will face Cornell on Friday, Oct. 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Ithaca, N.Y. before returning home to host Providence.
• The Bears are on a three-game win streak, having defeated Quinnipiac (4-0), Columbia (2-1 2OT/SO) and American (2-1).
• Brown has posted a 3-4 record at home on Goldberger Family Field, including wins in each of the last three matches played at the facility.
• Five players have reached double-digits in the points column this season, led by Katie McCallum, who has recorded 16 points on six goals and four assists.
• Mia Karine Myklebust is second on the team in points (15) and leads Brown in goals scored (six).
• Lucy Adams is third in scoring with 14 points on three goals and a team-best eight assists.
• In goal, Kylee Del Monte has played 827 minutes and owns a 1.96 goals against average and a 0.671 save percentage.
