- The Friars are coming off a weekend series with University of Alaska-Anchorage that saw Providence take the first match 2-0 on Friday, Jan. 19 before falling at home 4-0 on Saturday, Jan. 20.
- On Friday, the Seawolves and Friars skated to a scoreless first period, with Providence leading the shot count 14-4.

Max Crozier Makes NHL Debut
- Former Friar captain
Max Crozier made his NHL Debut on Jan. 13 for the Tampa Bay Lightning, becoming the 46th Friar to appear in an NHL game. Crozier finished the night with an even rating and 13:00 of time on ice. He earned his first NHL point in his last game out, posting an assist against Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Leaman Hits Milestone
Head Coach
Nate Leaman earned his 249th career victory at Providence on Nov. 11, passing Lou Lamoriello as the program's winningest head coach all-time. Leaman sits at 391 career victories as a Division I head coach.

The program currently sits at 1,098 wins all-time. With two more victories, Providence would become the fourth Hockey East program to hit that benchmark.

Scouting the River Hawks…
- UMass Lowell (7-14-12, 3-8-1 HEA) enters their matchup with Providence following a road series at Maine, where the River Hawks dropped both contests, losing 5-3 last Friday (Jan. 19) and 7-2 on Saturday (Jan. 20).

Series History vs. UMass Lowell (PC leads 64-51-11, .552)
This weekend's games with UMass-Lowell mark the first two of a three game series between the Friars and Riverhawks this season, with a road contest scheduled for Feb. 24 at Tsongas Center in Lowell. Providence last met the Riverhawks on Feb. 17-18, 2023, where the Friars took the first game 3-2 in overtime at home before falling 2-1 on the road. Seven of the last nine meetings between the teams have been one-goal games.
