NOTES

- Midway through the first period, blueliner Luke Krys broke open the scoring for the Friars, sniping the puck top shelf to give Providence the 1-0 advantage. Finding him on the play were Nick Poisson and Jaroslav Chmelar.

- Early in the second period, Goaltender Philip Svedebäck made a cross-crease save, denying Massachusetts' Scott Morrow on a power-play opportunity to keep the Friars' advantage in place.

- At 10:22 in the second period, Massachusetts' Cam O'Neill found the equalizer, deadlocking the score at 1-1.

- Just over four minutes later, Chmelar won the puck on the boards, finding Poisson who dished to Chase Yoder in the slot to bury his fifth goal of the season, putting Providence up 2-1 over the Minutemen.

- Just over seven minutes into the third period, Massachusetts' Ryan Ufko fired one through traffic, ringing the post before ricocheting into the back of the net, giving the Minutemen the tying score on the power-play.

- With under a minute to go, four Minutemen broke through on a 4-on-1 opportunity, culminating in the game-winning goal from Lucas Mercuri and bringing about Thursday night's final 3-2 decision.

- Four Friars tallied points in the loss, headlined by a pair of assists from forwards Nick Poisson and Jaroslav Chmelar.

- Defenseman Austen May paced the Friars in shots, leading the way with six pucks on net. Luke Krys tallied three shots while four Friars finished with a pair.

- Thursday's loss marks the second regulation loss of the season for the Friars, and their first since Providence's 5-4 defeat to Michigan on October 8.
