INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.  - The Providence College volleyball team was defeated by Butler, 3-1, on Sunday, November 12 in Indianapolis, Ind.

FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: Providence won the first set, 25-23.Â
- The Friars got off to a quick 5-1 lead to start the first set.Â
- Providence controlled the lead through the middle of the set making it 14-9.
- Butler scored four unanswered points to cut the score to 18-15.Â
- The Friars closed out the set, winning 25-23

Shea Dupuis (Richardson, Texas) each recorded three blocks in the first set.Â

SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: Butler won the second set, 25-9, to tie the match at 1-1.
- The Bulldogs started the second set on a 7-4 run.Â
- Butler scored five unanswered points to extend their lead to 13-6 forcing a Providence timeout.
- The Bulldogs controlled the lead for remainder of the set, winning 25-9.

Jiji Lykins (Coral Springs, Fla.) registered six digs in the second set.

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â The Bulldogs won the third set, 25-15, for the 2-1 edge in the match.
- Butler started the third set on an 8-2 run.
- The two teams went back-and-forth through the middle of the set making it 15-9.
- The Bulldogs closed out the set, winning 25-15.

Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas) and Grant each had three kills in the third set.

FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â Butler won the set, 25-7, to win the match.
- The Bulldogs got off to a quick 8-3 lead to start the set.
- Butler extended its lead to 12-3 causing Providence to call a timeout.
- The Bulldogs controlled the lead for the remainder of the set, wining 25-7.
