BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman Tanner Adams registered two goals and an assist as the No. 5/6 Providence College men's hockey team earned a 5-2 victory on the road at Northeastern on Saturday night (Nov. 11) at Matthews Arena. Head Coach Nate Leaman became the program's all-time leader in wins on Saturday night with his 249th victory at Providence.

NOTES
- The Friars continued their strong shot output in the opening period, outshooting the Huskies by a 17-5 margin.
- Chase Yoder opened the scoring at 8:57 of the first period as he one-timed a feed from Nick Poisson past Whitehead for his fourth goal of the season. Luke Krys also earned an assist on the play.
- Providence extended its lead to 2-0 with 1:34 remaining in the first period as Yoder blocked a shot and gained the Northeastern zone before finding Tanner Adams on the re-direct out front. It was Adams' third goal of the season.
- After a scoreless second period, the teams combined for five goals in the final frame.
- Northeastern converted twice during a pair of major penalties in the third period as Guillaume Richard and Hudson Malinoski were assessed five-minute majors and game misconducts.
- With the game at 2-1, Malinoski extended the lead to 3-1 with a one-timer on the power play for his fourth goal of the season.
- On another major power play, the Huskies cut the lead to 3-2 on a Justin Hyrckowian goal.
- As the major expired, Nick Poisson found Tanner Adams right out of the box and he finished on a breakaway to give the Friars a 4-2 game.
- Jaroslav Chmelar stripped a Northeastern defender and buried a shot past Whitehead to give Providence more insurance at 5-2 with 2:47 to play.
- Philip Svedebäck finished the night with 21 saves to earn his eighth win of the season.
- The Friars extended their unbeaten streak to nine games (7-0-2) with the win.
- Leaman's 249 wins at Providence moves him past Lou Lamoriello for the all-time program lead, a record that stood since 1983.
