Providence extends its unbeaten streak to eight games with the win.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Defenseman Luke Krys scored at 1:30 of overtime to give the No. 5/6 Providence College men's hockey team a 2-1 victory over Northeastern on Friday night (Nov. 10) at Schneider Arena. With the win, the Friars extend their unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2).

NOTES
- With under a minute remaining in the first period, forward Riley Duran broke the stalemate for the Friars, scoring off a feed from Chase Yoder and Cam McDonald to notch his fourth goal of the season, making it a 1-0 affair.
- Following the penalty on Chase Yoder late in the first period, Northeastern's Gunnarwolfe Fontaine tied it early in the second period off a top shelf shot, capitalizing on the extra attacker opportunity and knotting the game 1-1. Forwards Alex Campbell and Cam Lund tallied assists on the scoring effort.
- Midway through the second period, Northeastern's Liam Walsh got one through the defense and into the back of the net, but following a Providence challenge, referees waived the goal off due to goaltender interference, keeping the 1-1 deadlock intact.
- Neither team broke through offensively in the third period, sending the game to extra time. Providence dominated the Huskies in shots on goal, outshooting Northeastern 37-8 in regulation.
- Midway through the overtime period, defender Luke Krys buried the game-winner off a rebound, giving Providence the 2-1 win. Finding Krys for his second goal of the year were Bennett Schimek and Chase Yoder.
- Five different Friars registered points Friday night, headlined by a pair of assists from Chase Yoder.
- Riley Duran led the Friars in shots on Friday, ending the game with seven pucks directed on net. Sixteen different Friars contributed to the team total of 40 shots on goal, including fourteen different players with multiple shots.
- Providence's consecutive penalty kill streak ended at 32.
