PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College field hockey team defeated Queens University, 7-0, on Sunday, Oct. 8 at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. The Friars improved to 7-5 on the year, while Queens dropped to 0-12. Eleonore de Keyser recorded a career-high seven points on three goals and one assist.
1ST QUARTER:
•
Bella Carrozza gave the Friars a 1-0 lead at the 12:23 mark of the first quarter as she tipped in a feed from Eleonore de Keyser during a penalty corner.
• Providence outshot Queens 16-0 in the first quarter and had a 7-0 advantage in corners.
2ND QUARTER:
• The Friars broke the game open in the second quarter with a four-goal effort.

Ally DeCoste struck first at 19:08 as she redirected a pass from
Bella DelNegro.
• De Keyser scored back-to-back goals at 23:20 and 26:05 to give PC a 4-0 lead. The first was a direct shot on a penalty corner, assisted by DelNegro and
Lisa McNamara. She scored her second goal of the day as she lifted the ball over the Queens goalkeeper from five yards out. She was assisted by
Macie Pennisi.
• Lily Procaccanti notched the fourth goal of the quarter at 27:26 off an assist from Pennisi.
• Providence outshot Queens 12-0 and held an 8-0 edge in penalty corners during the frame.
3RD QUARTER:
• Providence added a pair of goals in the third to mount a 7-0 lead.
• De Keyser notched her third of the day, and fourth goal of her career, at 40:33. It was another direct shot during a penalty corner, assisted by
Florencia Talarico and
Lisa McNamara.

Cami Crook followed with her first career goal at 43:15, unassisted. She found the back of the cage after collecting a rebound off an initial shot.
• Queens earned its first corner opportunity and shot attempt with 8:35 remaining in the third quarter.
• Hensley Miller's attempt at the cage was cleared by
Asia Porter for her first save of the day.
• Providence outshot Queens, 6-1. The Friars also held the advantage in corners, 2-1.
4TH QUARTER:
• The fourth quarter was scoreless as Providence went on to win, 7-0.
• Providence had the advantage in shots (4-0) and corners (2-0).
NOTES:
• De Keyser is the first Friar since Stephanie Guglielmo to record a hat trick in a game. Guglielmo achieved the feat on Aug. 29, 2014 vs. Vermont.
• The Friars' seven goals mark a season high. The previous high was five, which they tallied on two occasions vs. New Hampshire and Merrimack.
• The Friars dominated play, outshooting Queens 38-1. PC also held a 19-1 edge in corners. Twenty-one of the Friars' 38 shots were on goal.
• Providence recorded its second-straight shutout and sixth shutout on the season overall.

Asia Porter played 47 minutes in the cage and recorded one save in the win. She was relieved by
Zoe Onken with 12:31 left to play as the duo combined for the shutout win.
• The game served as the backdrop for the program's annual Alumnae Game, in addition to the team's Pink Out Friartown initiative.
WHAT'S NEXT:
• Providence returns to action on Friday, Oct. 13 against BIG EAST foe Connecticut. The game will be played in Storrs, Conn. and is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
