SCOUTING PROVIDENCE (5-11, 2-4 BIG EAST):
• Providence enters the match with a 5-11 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the BIG EAST.
• Seven of the Friars 11 losses have come at the hands of nationally ranked opponents.
• The Friars remain in the BIG EAST Tournament picture with a victory on Friday at Quinnipiac.
• Providence also needs a Villanova victory over Georgetown and a Temple loss to UConn. In this scenario, Providence, Villanova and Temple would be locked in a three-way tie for fourth place in the final league standings and the tie-breaking procedures would require the tie to be settled using goal differential.
Ally DeCoste leads the Friars in scoring with 14 points on five goals and four assists. Eleven of her 14 points have come during BIG EAST regular-season play (4g / 3a).
• In the Friars' most recent game against No. 16 Liberty, DeCoste scored Providence's lone goal. She is the only BIG EAST player to score a goal against Liberty this season, as Liberty's previous nine victories this season were shutouts.
Sophia Pompeo and Nora Goddard-Despot are tied for second on the team in scoring with nine points each. Pompeo has recorded four goals and one assist, while Goddard-Despot owns three goals and three assists.
• Pompeo will face her younger sister, Lucia, on Friday as Providence takes on Quinnipiac.
• The two met as college and BIG EAST rivals for the first time last season in Providence, R.I. The Friars picked up a 5-2 victory and the elder Pompeo scored two goals, including the eventual game winner.
Niamh Gowing and (3g / 2a) and Lisa McNamara (2g / 4a) are tied for fourth on the team in scoring.
• Nine players overall have scored at least one goal, and five of those nine are multi-goal scorers.
• DeCoste and McNamara are tied for the team lead in assists, with four each.
Asia Porter has played 1,004 minutes in the cage for Providence and owns a 2.51 goals against average and a 0.706 save percentage.

SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC (6-11, 1-5 BIG EAST):
• The Bobcats enter Friday's game with a 6-11 mark (1-5 BIG EAST).
• The lone BIG EAST victory for Quinnipiac came against Georgetown on Oct. 14 (3-1).
• In Quinnipiac's most recent league game against Villanova on Oct. 21, the Bobcats found themselves trailing 3-0 after the first 41 minutes of play. • Eva Veldhorst (14 points) and Lucia Pompeo (11 points) round out the list of players with double-digit points. Both players have recorded five goals this season.
• Cristina Torres has played the majority of minutes in the cage this season (737) and owns a 2.53 goals against average and a 0.644 save percentage. Nina Santore has seen 267 minutes of action and owns a 4.05 goals against average and a 0.609 save percentage.
