Volleyball Defeats Merrimack In Straight Sets

Friars will return home to host the 16th Annual Friar Volleyball Classic.

NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. - The Providence College volleyball team defeated Merrimack in straight sets (25-17, 25-11, 25-19) on Wednesday, September 8, in a non-conference road match. This marks the second time this season that the Friars defeated the Warriors. With the win, Friars improved to 7-1 overall during the 2021 season. 

Due to technical difficulties on site, match statistics are not available at this time. An updated game story and box score will be provided when statistics become available. 

WHAT'S NEXT: The Friars return to Providence to host The 16th Annual Friar Volleyball Classic on September 10-11. The tournament will consist of six matches over two days. The participating teams joining the Friars are Binghamton, Fairleigh Dickinson and St. Peter's. The Friars first match will be Friday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. against St Peter's.
