Shaliyah Rhoden Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Providence College freshman outside hitter Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for volleyball, as announced by the league on Monday, September 6. This is the first BIG EAST award for the freshman.
 
Rhoden earned Tournament MVP honors at the Holly Young Tournament, helping her team to an undefeated weekend. In Friday's match against Siena, Rhoden led the Friars in kills (19) and held a .531 hitting percentage. On Saturday's match versus UNH, she tallied 21 kills with a .326 percentage.
 
The Friars will travel to Merrimack College on Wednesday, September 8 for a single match at 7:00 p.m.
