Women’s Soccer Falls To No. 21 Xavier In Overtime

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's soccer team fell to No. 21 Xavier, 1-0, in overtime on Thursday, Sept. 23 in Providence, R.I.

GAME NOTES & FLOW
-The game was scoreless after end of the first half.
-Sophomore Emma Bodmer (Monroe Township, N.J.) made three saves in the first half and the Friars defense made one save to keep the ball out the net.
-Providence and Xavier each took five shots in the first half.
-The Friars outshot the Muskateers 10-2 in the second half.
-Xavier goalkeeper, Olivia Jenkins, held out against the Friars offense making seven saves.
-At the end of regulation, the score remained 0-0.
-In the 96^th minute, Xavier scored the golden goal.
-The Friars will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 26 against Creighton in Providence, R.I.
