Four Second Half Goals Power Providence Over Bryant, 4-0

Kyla Gallagher, Anna Kalooski, Samantha Adams and Hannah McNulty tallied the goals for the Friars.

Providence, R.I. – The Providence College women's soccer teams defeated the Bryant Bulldogs, 4-0, on Sunday, Feb. 21 in Providence, R.I. at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. Kyla Gallagher (Farmington, Conn.), Anna Kalooski (Greene, R.I.), Samantha Adams (Northport, N.Y.) and Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) all tallied a goal for the Friars. The Friars move to 2-0 on the season.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-Providence had a strong control of the possession in the first half.
-The Friars outshot the Bulldogs, 10-0, in the first half. Bryant's Meghan Dalton recorded five saves in the first half. Providence's Bodmer did not register any saves as Bryant struggled to get past the Friars back line in the opening half.
- The Friars dictated much of the pace and possession in the second half as well.
-The Bulldogs did not get their first shot on net until the 67th minute. The shot was denied by Emma Bodmer (Monroe, Township, N.J.)
-After a Bodmer penalty in the box, Bryant received a penalty kick off of the foul. Bodmer dove to the right and denied the best scoring opportunity for the Bulldogs in the afternoon.
SCORING SUMMARY
  1. – (Providence) – 47:39/2nd - Kyla Gallagher – Received a cross from Meg Hughes in the middle of the box and scored with her right foot in the bottom right of the net.
  2. – (Providence) – 62:47/2nd Anna Kalooski – Took a Mara Rodriguez cross and flicked it with the right foot to the bottom left on the net.
  3. – (Providence) – 71:04/2nd – Received a cross from Kristen Perry and chipped it in with her right foot to the top right of the net
  4. – (Providence) – 88:46/2nd – Took a through ball from Meg Hughes in the center of the box and finished the goal to the bottom left of the net with her right foot.
