PROVIDENCE, R.I.– The Providence College volleyball team (15-11/3-10) was defeated by Butler (14-12/8-5) in three sets, 3-0, in a BIG EAST regular-season match on Friday, Nov. 5 in Providence, R.I.
1st SET:
• Butler captured the first set, 25-18.

Caroline LaMacchia had two service aces and three digs for the Friars.
•
Sammie Ruggles recorded five assists for Providence.
2nd SET:
• Butler won the second set, 25-23.
•
Jennifer Leitman had seven kills for the Friars.
•
Shaliyah Rhoden and
Allison Barber each had four digs.
3rd SET:
• Butler captured the third set, 25-13.
•
Sammie Ruggles had six digs for the Friars.
•
Jiji Lykins registered three kills for Providence.
NOTES / HIGHLIGHTS:

Jennifer Leitman led the Friars with nine kills in the match.

Allison Barber and
Sammie Ruggles each had 12 assists for Providence.
