CINCINNATI, Ohio– The Providence College women's soccer team fell to the Xavier Musketeers, 2-0, on Sunday, Oct. 13 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Providence falls to 7-5-2 overall, including a 2-2-1 mark in BIG EAST play.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Xavier found the back of the net to open the scoring in the 38th minute of the first half. Carrie Lewis positioned herself at the back post on a corner kick, Lewis fed Jenna Prathapa at the penalty mark the she one-timed past Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.)
- The Musketeers outshot Providence, 15-3, after the first 45 minutes of play.
- Brooke Sroka scored an insurance goal just three minutes out of the locker room. Carrie Lewis played a ball from the right corner to the edge of the six-yard box, Sroka re-directed the ball past Hogan with her left foot.
- Alexis Rothmann (Norwell, Mass.), Mara Rodriguez (Rochester, N.Y.) and Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) each tallied a shot on goal in the match.
- Shelby Hogan recorded seven saves in net on 21 shots faced.
- Providence now holds a 2-2-1 record, tying them with DePaul and Marquette for fifth place in the BIG EAST.
