OMAHA, Neb. – The Providence College women's soccer team earned an important BIG EAST road victory against Creighton on Saturday, Oct. 19 in Omaha, Neb. The Friars trailed 1-0 at halftime, but scored two second-half goals and got an impressive goalkeeping effort from
Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) to earn the win.

- The Bluejays attempted four of the final five shots of the first half on their way to taking a 1-0 lead in the 41
stminute of play.
- Creighton's Skylar Heinrich notched her 10
thgoal of the season to give her team a 1-0 advantage, as she converted from 10-yards out off a long entry pass from Ansley Atkinson.
- The Bluejays held a 9-5 edge in shots and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks through 45 minutes of play.

Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) collected two saves in net for Providence, while her counterpart Keelan Terrell also recorded two first-half saves.
- The Friars came out hot offensively in the second half, as
Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) scored two goals in less than five minutes to give Providence a 2-1 lead.
- McNulty's first goal came in the 50
thminute off a header, assisted by
Amber Birchwell (Mastic, N.Y.) and
Jana Braun (Frittlingen, Germany).
- McNulty found the back of the net, once again, in the 55
thminute as
Elayna Grillakis (Lowell, Mass.) fed her the ball as she entered the right side of the box. McNulty one-timed the pass into the lower left-hand corner of the goal.
- In the 76
thminute Creighton nearly tied the game off a free kick opportunity. Jaylin Bosak put a header on frame, which was deflected by Hogan for a save. Morgan Szarka collected the rebound and put a second attempt on target, which also was stopped by Hogan.
- Hogan finished the game with a season-high 12 saves, including 10 stops in the second half.
- Creighton completed the game with the advantage in shots (25-9), shots on goal (13-5) and corner kicks (12-1).
