DURHAM, N.H. - The Providence College field hockey team defeated LIU Brooklyn, 8-0, on September 16 at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. Five different Friars accounted for the team's eight goals, as the team improved to 4-5 overall. LIU Brooklyn dropped to 1-7 overall on the year.

- Senior Lydia Rice (Carle Place, N.Y.) posted her second career shut-out victory in the cage with three saves.
