TALKING POINTS            
- Providence was swept in a weekend series for the first time since the 2017 Hockey East Quarterfinals at Notre Dame after suffering a pair 3-2 losses to UMass last weekend.
- The Friars erased a 2-0 deficit for the second-consecutive game after second period goals from Jack Dugan and Greg Printz on Saturday night.
- The Minutemen repeated the script from Thursday night with a go-ahead goal with under two minutes to play in regulation.
- The Friars outshot the Minutemen by a 31-13 margin and 62-25 in shot attempts. The 13 shots on goal were the fewest allowed by Providence since giving up 12 shots to Merrimack on Jan. 5, 2018. Overall, the Friars have outshot opponents by a +98 margin this season (291-193).
- Dugan leads all Hockey East rookies in points per game (1.00), power play points (6) and game-winning goals (2). He ranks second overall in points (9) behind UConn's Jachym Kondalik (10).
- With two assists on Saturday night, Jacob Bryson recorded his 12th career multi-point game. Bryson ranks second on the team in scoring with eight points and third among Hockey East defensemen in scoring.
- Providence has surrendered 1.56 goals per game, which ranks third overall in the nation.
- The first goal of the game has been key so far this season for the Friars. Providence is 5-0-1 when scoring first and 0-3-0 when allowing the first goal.
- Saturday's home game will serve as Military Appreciation Night and the RIPTA Teddy Bear Toss.

SERIES HISTORY VS. MERRIMACK
• Providence and Merrimack will face off three times in the next three weeks, starting with a home-and-home set beginning in North Andover on Friday night. The teams will meet again at Lawler Rink on Dec. 7.
• Last season, Providence went 2-0-1 against the Warriors with both wins coming at Schneider Arena. In the lone meeting at Lawler Rink, the Friars rallied from a 5-1 deficit to earn a 6-6 tie.
• All-time, the Friars are 35-17-7 on the road against Merrimack.
 
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
• The Warriors are coming off a split of a road series at Bemidji State last weekend, dropping a 8-3 decision on Friday before rebounding for a 1-0 win on Saturday night.
• The Merrimack attack is led by Tyler Irvine (4-4-8), Johnathan Kovacevic (2-5-7) and Logan Coomes (1-5-6).
• In goal, reigning Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week Craig Pantano has posted a 2.42 GAA and .917 save percentage in 10 games played this season. Pantano has also tallied three shutouts this year, including his last outing against Bemidji State.
• The match-up marks the first meeting between the Friars and former Associate Head Coach Scott Borek, who took over the reins of the Merrimack program after the departure of Mark Dennehy.
 
DUGAN NAMED HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Freshman Jack Dugan was named Hockey East Rookie of the Month for October after posting seven points in six games. He was the first Friar rookie to earn the honor since Anthony Florentino in March of 2014.
 
BALANCED SCORING
Thirteen different players have scored the Friars' 28 goals through nine games. Overall, 17 players have recorded at least one point this season.
 
ELEVEN GAMES TO AIR ON NBC SPORTS BOSTON
Providence College Athletics announced that NBC Sports Boston, the broadcast home of the Boston Celtics will televise 11 men's hockey home games during the 2018-19 season. Eight of the 11 games will be shown live, while the remaining three games with be tape delayed following the conclusion of Celtics coverage.

ALL GAMES TO AIR LIVE ON NEWSRADIO 104.7 FM
Beginning with the 2018-19 hockey season, all Friars men's hockey games, in addition to all pregame and postgame network programming will be carried live on NewsRadio 104.7 FM. The agreement also includes 10 editions of the Nate Leaman Coaches Show that will air throughout the season. Mike Logan, who is entering his 24th season as the voice of the Friars, will call all the live action this season on 104.7 FM.  Logan also will host the Nate Leaman Coaches show on 104.7 FM.

PRINTZ'S GAME-WINNERS
Five of sophomore Greg Printz's seven career goals have been game-winning goals. Printz is one of five Friars to total three goals thus far in 2018-19.
 
BJORKQVIST, BRYSON, AND DESHARNAIS LEAD THE FRIARS
Juniors Kasper Björkqvist and Jacob Bryson were named captains for this season, while senior defenseman Vincent Desharnais was named an alternate captain.
 
SCHNEIDER SUCCESS
The current group of seniors have dominated at Schneider Arena over the last three-plus seasons, going 43-8-5 over that span (.813).
 
THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
The Friars are 133-12-13 all-time under Nate Leaman when scoring three or more goals in a game.
 
AFTER 40
The Friars are 125-5-11 all-time under Nate Leaman when holding a lead after two periods.
 
UP NEXT
The Friars travel out to the University of Denver over Thanksgiving break for a two-game series against the Pioneers beginning next Friday (Nov. 23).
