Five players recorded multi-point games for the Friars on Friday night.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.Jason O'Neill and Tyce Thompson recorded their first-career goals and five players registered two points as the No. 9/9 Providence College men's hockey team claimed a 7-2 win on the road at Merrimack on Friday night at Lawler Rink.

- Providence rushed out to a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.
- Brandon Duhaime got the Friars on the board with his fourth goal of the season just 13 seconds into the game.
- Freshman Tyce Thompson tallied his first career marker midway through the period after re-directing Scott Conway's wrist shot.
- Jack Dugan made it 3-0 with his fourth goal of the season after one-timing a rebound off a Josh Wilkins shot.
- Providence held a 15-1 edge in shots after 20 minutes.
- The Friars extended their lead to 4-0 at 7:44 of the second period as Jason O'Neill ripped a shot over the glove of Pantano. Greg Printz and Vincent Desharnais were credited the assists on the play.
- Björkqvist added two third period goals for his fourth and fifth strikes of the season, which leads the team.
- Vimal Sukumaran made it a 6-0 game early in the third period with a breakaway goal, his second of the season.
- The Warriors struck twice within a span of 18 seconds to account for their two goals of the night of the sticks of Chase Gresock and Tyler Drevitch.
- Fifteen different players have scored goals for Providence this season.
- O'Neill tallied his first goal in his 50th career game for the Friars.
- Dugan recorded his team-high 11th point in 10 games.
