The program has posted a 9-16 all-time record at the championship, winning the tournament title in 1989 and 1991, and finishing runner-up five times (1990, 1996, 2000, 2006, 2007).

PROVIDENCE COLLEGE VS. RANKED TEAMS... The Friars are 0-4 this season vs. nationally-ranked teams.  The Friars fell to then-No. 14 Iowa (1-0) on Sept. 8, No. 15 Old Dominion (6-1) on Sept. 14), No. 3 Connecticut (3-0) on Oct. 5 and No. 18 Liberty (4-0) on Oct. 26).

FRIARS IN OVERTIME... Current graduate assistant for the team, Megan Guilbert, was a two-time All-BIG EAST pick in back-to-back seasons (2016-2017).  This season, Lydia Rice (Carle Place, N.Y.) found herself on the All-BIG EAST Second Team in just her first season as a full-time starter.
