TALKING POINTS            
- Providence slid to No. 6 in the national polls after a 1-0-1 weekend, including a 7-2 win over UConn and a 2-2 tie at Sacred Heart.
- Senior Bryan Lemos, in his first game action since Nov. 25, 2017, recorded a goal and an assist for the Friars.
- Junior Josh Wilkins found the back of the net in both games, while freshman defenseman Michael Callahan earned points in both games.
- Sophomore Gabe Mollot-Hill started his first career game on Saturday, making 25 saves in the 2-2 tie at Sacred Heart. Both of Mollot-Hill's decisions in his career have been ties.
- Mollot-Hill's start marked the end of a streak of 83-consecutive starts for Hayden Hawkey. The last Friar netminder to start prior to that stretch was Nick Ellis on March 25, 2016.
- The Friars have allowed just three even-strength goals through five games. Hawkey has an even-strength save percentage of .967, stopping 58-of-60 shots at even-strength.
- Jack Dugan is tied for fourth nationally among freshmen with five points.
- Providence has been on the penalty kill 33 times in five games, which is the second-most in the nation. The PK has killed off 28-of-33 chances through five games.
- Sixteen players have recorded at least one point this season and every skater has a plus/minus rating of at least even.
- Björkqvist leads the Friars with 17 shots on goal this season, followed by Wilkins (13) and Conway (13).

SERIES HISTORY VS. BOSTON UNIVERSITY
• Providence and BU begin the first of their three season meetings on Friday at Agganis Arena. The other two meetings will come at Schneider Arena (Jan. 12, Feb. 28).
• The teams met four times in total last season, including the Hockey East Championship game where the Terriers claimed a 2-0 win at TD Garden. The Friars went 1-1-1 against Boston University during the regular season.
• Three of the four meetings last season ended in shutouts for the winning team.
• The Friars have not won at Agganis Arena since a 2-1 win on Nov. 1, 2014. Since then, Providence is 0-1-3 there. Since the national championship game in 2015, the Friars are 1-3-4 overall against BU.
 
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
• BU opened the season at Minnesota State, dropping both gaves to the Mavericks in Mankato. The Terriers opened Hockey East play last Saturday with a 4-0 loss at Merrimack to begin the season at 0-3-0.
• Sophomore David Farrance leads the team with four assists through three games, while Bobo Carpenter is the lone Terrier to find the back of the net twice in the first three games.
• In goal, junior Jake Oettinger has posted a 4.66 GAA and .866 save percentage through three games.
• Former BU player Albie O'Connell had taken over the reins of the Terriers after David Quinn departure for the New York Rangers after five seasons on Comm. Ave.
 
PROGRAM HITS 1,000 WINS
With their 7-2 win over UConn last Friday night, the Friars posted their 1,000 win in program history. All-time, Providence is 1000-933-152 (.516).
 
BALANCED SCORING
Eleven different players have scored the Friars' 16 goals through five games.
 
JUMPING OUT EARLY
Providence has out-scored their opponents by a 8-0 margin in first periods this season.
 
ELEVEN GAMES TO AIR ON NBC SPORTS BOSTON
Providence College Athletics announced that NBC Sports Boston, the broadcast home of the Boston Celtics will televise 11 men's hockey home games during the 2018-19 season. Eight of the 11 games will be shown live, while the remaining three games with be tape delayed following the conclusion of Celtics coverage.

ALL GAMES TO AIR LIVE ON NEWSRADIO 104.7 FM
Beginning with the 2018-19 hockey season, all Friars men's hockey games, in addition to all pregame and postgame network programming will be carried live on NewsRadio 104.7 FM. The agreement also includes 10 editions of the Nate Leaman Coaches Show that will air throughout the season. Mike Logan, who is entering his 24th season as the voice of the Friars, will call all the live action this season on 104.7 FM.  Logan also will host the Nate Leaman Coaches show on 104.7 FM.

PRINTZ'S GAME-WINNERS
Five of sophomore Greg Printz's six career goals have been game-winning goals, including both of Providence's game-winners this season.
 
BJORKQVIST, BRYSON, AND DESHARNAIS LEAD THE FRIARS
Juniors Kasper Björkqvist and Jacob Bryson were named captains for this season, while senior defenseman Vincent Desharnais was named an alternate captain.
 
SCHNEIDER SUCCESS
The current group of seniors have dominated at Schneider Arena over the last three-plus seasons, going 43-7-5 over that span (.827).
 
THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
The Friars are 131-12-13 all-time under Nate Leaman when scoring three or more goals in a game.
 
AFTER 40
The Friars are 122-5-11 all-time under Nate Leaman when holding a lead after two periods.
 
UP NEXT
