The Friars earned a road shutout at Boston University for the first time since 2004.

BOSTONBrandon Duhaime scored twice and Josh Wilkins added three assists as the sixth-ranked Providence College men's hockey team blanked Boston University, 5-0, on Friday night at Agganis Arena. Hayden Hawkey stopped all 18 shots to earn his second shutout of the season and 10th in his career.

NOTES
- Jack Dugan tallied his second goal of his career just 58 seconds into the game as he through a puck from behind the net that banked in off Oettinger. Assists went to Wilkins and Desharnais.
- The Friars killed off three Terrier power plays in the opening period.
- Providence began to carry the play in the second period, out-shooting the Terriers by a 17-5 margin.
- Brandon Duhaime struck for his first of the season at 6:46, ripping a wrist shot of over Oettinger's glove after intercepting a pass in the neutral zone.
- The Friars extended the lead to 3-0 on Spenser Young's third goal of the season. Young one-time a feed from Josh Wilkins over the shoulder of Oettinger.
- Insurance goals from Duhaime and Kasper Björkqvist in the third period extended the Friar lead to 5-0.
- Providence out-shot the Terriers by a 34-14 margin over the last 40 minutes.
- The Friars have outscored opponents 9-0 in the first period this season.
- Hawkey's 10 career shutouts put him three behind Jon Gillies for the program record.
- Providence shut out the Terriers for the first time at Agganis Arena and the first time on the road since Feb. 6, 2004.
- Jack Dugan leads the team in scoring with seven points in six games (2-5-7).
- Wilkins recorded his second career three-assist game.
- Duhaime registered his first career multi-goal game.

1-0 (Providence) – 0:58/1st – EV – Jack Dugan (Wilkins, Desharnais) – Wilkins on a rush through center chipped the puck behind the net, Dugan went back to retrieve it and fired a bank shot off of Oettinger.
2-0 (Providence) – 6:46/2nd – EV – Brandon Duhaime (unassisted) – Duhaime intercepted a pass in the neutral zone, broke down the right wing and ripped a wrist shot over the glove.
3-0 (Providence) – 19:30/2nd – PP – Spenser Young (Wilkins, Sukumaran) – One-timer from the top of the left circle over the shoulder of Oettinger.
4-0 (Providence) – 0:42/3rd – EV – Brandon Duhaime (Björkqvist, Wilkins) – Wrist shot from the high slot.
5-0 (Providence) – 4:24/3rd – PP – Kasper Björkqvist (Thompson, Dugan) – Tap-in on a loose puck in the crease after a one-timer from Thompson.
