TALKING POINTS            
- Providence moved up to No. 3 in the national polls after a 5-0 blanking of Boston University last Friday at Agganis Arena..
- Jack Dugan tallied his second goal of his career just 58 seconds into the game as he through a puck from behind the net that banked in off Jake Oettinger. Assists went to Wilkins and Desharnais.
 - The Friars killed off three Terrier power plays in the opening period.
 - Providence began to carry the play in the second period, out-shooting the Terriers by a 17-5 margin.
 - Brandon Duhaime struck for his first of the season at 6:46, ripping a wrist shot of over Oettinger's glove after intercepting a pass in the neutral zone.
 - The Friars extended the lead to 3-0 on Spenser Young's third goal of the season. Young one-timed a feed from Josh Wilkins over the shoulder of Oettinger.
 - Insurance goals from Duhaime and Kasper Björkqvist in the third period extended the Friar lead to 5-0.
 - Providence out-shot the Terriers by a 34-14 margin over the last 40 minutes.
 - Hawkey's 10 career shutouts put him three behind Jon Gillies for the program record.
 - Providence shut out the Terriers for the first time at Agganis Arena and the first time on the road since Feb. 6, 2004.
- Wilkins recorded his second career three-assist game.
- Duhaime registered his first career multi-goal game.

SERIES HISTORY VS. HOLY CROSS
• Providence and Holy Cross meet for the third time in four seasons on Saturday night in Worcester.
• The Crusaders claimed the last meeting, 2-1, in overtime on Oct. 15, 2016 at the DCU Center.  It was just their second win in 12 games against the Friars.
• Since 2001, Providence has won six of eight matchups. Prior to 2001, the teams hadn't met since 1957.
• Saturday's contest will mark the Friars' first visit to the Hart Center since 2010, a 2-1 victory over the Crusaders.
 
SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
• After a season-opening win vs. Canisius, Holy Cross has dropped four-consecutive games, including a 7-4 setback at Bentley last Friday night.
• Freshman Matt Barry (3-3-6) and senior Johnny Coughlin (1-5-6) lead the Crusaders in scoring through five games.
• In goal, senior Tommy Nixon started the first two games of the season before sustaining an injury. Freshman Erik Gordon has started the last three outings, posting a 5.34 GAA and .804 save percentage.
• Providence College alumnus David Berard '92 enters his fifth season at the helm of the Crusaders. He has posted a 60-66-24 record over that span with Holy Cross.
 
DUGAN NAMED HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Freshman Jack Dugan was named Hockey East Rookie of the Month for October after posting seven points in six games. He was the first Friar rookie to earn the honor since Anthony Florentino in March of 2014.
 
PROGRAM HITS 1,000 WINS
With their 7-2 win over UConn last Friday night, the Friars posted their 1,000 win in program history. All-time, Providence is 1000-933-152 (.516).
 
BALANCED SCORING
Twelve different players have scored the Friars' 21 goals through six games. Overall, 17 players have recorded at least one point this season.
 
JUMPING OUT EARLY
Providence has out-scored their opponents by an 9-0 margin in first periods this season. The Friars haven't allowed a first period goal since March 9, 2018, a stretch of 11 games and 231:50 total.
 
ELEVEN GAMES TO AIR ON NBC SPORTS BOSTON
Providence College Athletics announced that NBC Sports Boston, the broadcast home of the Boston Celtics will televise 11 men's hockey home games during the 2018-19 season. Eight of the 11 games will be shown live, while the remaining three games with be tape delayed following the conclusion of Celtics coverage.

ALL GAMES TO AIR LIVE ON NEWSRADIO 104.7 FM
Beginning with the 2018-19 hockey season, all Friars men's hockey games, in addition to all pregame and postgame network programming will be carried live on NewsRadio 104.7 FM. The agreement also includes 10 editions of the Nate Leaman Coaches Show that will air throughout the season. Mike Logan, who is entering his 24th season as the voice of the Friars, will call all the live action this season on 104.7 FM.  Logan also will host the Nate Leaman Coaches show on 104.7 FM.

PRINTZ'S GAME-WINNERS
Five of sophomore Greg Printz's six career goals have been game-winning goals, including both of Providence's game-winners this season.
 
BJORKQVIST, BRYSON, AND DESHARNAIS LEAD THE FRIARS
Juniors Kasper Björkqvist and Jacob Bryson were named captains for this season, while senior defenseman Vincent Desharnais was named an alternate captain.
 
SCHNEIDER SUCCESS
The current group of seniors have dominated at Schneider Arena over the last three-plus seasons, going 43-7-5 over that span (.827).
 
THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
The Friars are 132-12-13 all-time under Nate Leaman when scoring three or more goals in a game.
 
AFTER 40
The Friars are 123-5-11 all-time under Nate Leaman when holding a lead after two periods.
 
UP NEXT
The Friars conclude their four-game road swing next Thursday night at UMass. The game can be seen live on NESN Plus beginning at 7 p.m.
