Shelby Hogan notches her career-high eighth shutout of the season.

CHICAGO, ILL. – The Providence College women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against DePaul on Oct. 18. The game was played on Wish Field in Chicago, Ill. The match proves to be the third-consecutive overtime game between the two sides.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
  • Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) ripped a curling right-footed shot over the DePaul wall off a free kick in the 19th minute, Mollie Eriksson had to dive to her right side to stop the ball from going in the bottom left corner.
  • The Blue Demons had a flurry of opportunities in the 18-yard box early in the first half but Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) denied those opportunities with four saves.
  • Providence outshot DePaul in the first half, 7-6.
  • The Friars had a promising opportunity in the 57th minute, Olivia Lucia (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) crossed a ball to the top of the 6-yard box where McNulty was waiting. McNulty took a right-footed shot that Eriksson had to dive to her left to save.
  • The Blue Demons followed that up with a free kick opportunity in the 58th minute, the ball was flicked on by a header and one-timed by Madeline Frick. Frick put her shot wide left.
  • DePaul outshot Providence 18-11 at the end of regulation.
  • Madeline Frick headed a ball over the crossbar from the 6-yard box in the 96th minute off a corner kick from Franny Cerny.
