Women's Soccer Ties DePaul, 0-0

CHICAGO, ILL. – The Providence College women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against DePaul on Oct. 18. The game was played on Wish Field in Chicago, Ill. The match proves to be the third-consecutive overtime game between the two sides.

GAME FLOW & NOTES

Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) ripped a curling right-footed shot over the DePaul wall off a free kick in the 19^th minute, Mollie Eriksson had to dive to her right side to stop the ball from going in the bottom left corner.
The Blue Demons had a flurry of opportunities in the 18-yard box early in the first half but Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) denied those opportunities with four saves.
Providence outshot DePaul in the first half, 7-6.
The Friars had a promising opportunity in the 57^th minute, Olivia Lucia (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) crossed a ball to the top of the 6-yard box where McNulty was waiting. McNulty took a right-footed shot that Eriksson had to dive to her left to save.
The Blue Demons followed that up with a free kick opportunity in the 58^th minute, the ball was flicked on by a header and one-timed by Madeline Frick. Frick put her shot wide left.
DePaul outshot Providence 18-11 at the end of regulation.
Madeline Frick headed a ball over the crossbar from the 6-yard box in the 96^th minute off a corner kick from Franny Cerny.
DePaul outshot Providence in the overtime periods, 3-0.

The Friars will wrap up BIG EAST play with two home games beginning on Oct. 21 against Seton Hall for Senior Day. The match will be played on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
