PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
Senior forward Rachel Ugolik (Hamden, Conn.) was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Sept. 19 as announced by the league.
Ugolik was tied for most points in the BIG EAST after a 2-0 weekend with Friar victories over Central Connecticut on Sept. 15 (3-1) and Massachusetts on Sept. 18 (3-0). Ugolik kicked off the weekend with one assist in Providence's 3-1 win over Central Connecticut. The senior continued to be an attacking force in Sunday night's match when she had a hand in all three Friars goals. Ugolik scored the first of two goals of the game and then added an assist on Kathryn Hiller's (Dartmouth, Mass.) goal.
The Friars will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 25 when they kick off BIG EAST league play against Georgetown University at 1:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
