Jenna Roncarati Named To All-BIG EAST Rookie Team

Providence, R.I.- Freshman Jenna Roncarati (Cumberland, R.I.) was named to the All-BIG EAST Rookie Team on Thursday, November 5. Six different schools were represented in the BIG EAST Conference women's soccer postseason honors, with Roncarati representing Providence.

Roncarati started in 18 games for the Friars in 2009 and notched a total of 19 shots in a year Providence finished 8-8-3 overall and 3-6-2 in the BIG EAST, its most wins since 2002. She was a mainstay for Friar defense, which only gave up an average of 0.89 goals per game and a total of 17 on the season.

Roncarati is the first Providence player to be named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team since Kerry O'Malley in 2002.
