PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team (0-5) lost its home opener to Siena College (2-3) Tuesday evening by the score of 3-0, at PC's Mullaney Gymnasium inside Alumni Hall. The Friars lost by scores of 30-17, 30-19 and 30-22.
PC freshman Amanda Little (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) turned in a solid effort with a match-high 18 kills, while senior Allison Baker (Glastonbury, Conn.) had nine kills to lead the offensive attack. For Siena, Christie Gustafson led the way with 17 kills, while three other players had 10 digs or more.
Providence volleyball returns to action this weekend, Sept. 9th as it travels to Hamilton, N.Y. to participate in the Colgate Tournament against Princeton, Fordham and host Colgate. The tournament begins Friday at 5:00 p.m.
