PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Providence College volleyball team (0-4) dropped its first match of the afternoon, 3-0, to Bucknell (1-1) in Day Two of the La Salle Tournament. Freshman Aida Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the Friar offense with 11 kills while classmate Amanda Little (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) totaled a match-high 16 digs.
Senior Annie Fiorvanti (Northport, N.Y.) had 10 assists while freshman Brittany Pratte (Redondo Beach, Calif.) added nine helpers.
In their second match of the evening, PC lost to Lafayette, 3-0, to conclude the La Salle Tournament. Senior Allison Baker (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the way with 10 kills and 10 digs. For the weekend, Baker averaged 2.9 kills per game and 2.3 digs per game to earn a spot on the all-tournament squad.
PC volleyball (0-4) returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 6 against Siena. It's the Friars home-opener, and will begin at 7:00 p.m.
