POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Providence College volleyball team (1-15) lost to Princeton (8-1) Saturday afternoon, 3-0, by scores of 30-14, 30-18 and 30-17 in Day Two action at the Marist Tournament. Freshman Nonie Ferguson (Davie, Fla.) was named to the All-Tournament team.
Senior captain Allison Baker (Glastonbury, Conn.) had a team-high eight kills, while senior captain Annie Fiorvanti (Northport, N.Y.) had 20 assists and a team-high seven digs. Ferguson added six kills to round out the Friars' offense. Additionally, Princeton posted a team hitting percentage of .418 for the contest.
In Friday's match against Fairleigh Dickinson, Ferguson tallied a match-high 11 kills.
Providence volleyball returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 28th as the Friars take on Fairleigh Dickinson. The match is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
