Dear Camper,
During the past several months, many of you have attended games or watched the Friars in action. Our style of play requires hard work and dedication towards being the best you can be. My approach among each of my summer camps is the same. Campers will work on conditioning, fundamentals, and participate in games viewed by myself, members of my staff, along with present and past players. Our goal is to evaluate all campers and prepare you to become a better player. While camp will require a high level of commitment from every camper, we will mix activities that will be both challenging and rewarding. I really look forward to having you attend this summer's camps and can assure you a positive, yet consuming experience.
Sincerely, Tim Welsh Head Basketball Coach ____________________________________________________________________________________
Coach Cautero coordinates each summer camp. Campers will get to know this hands on coach who came to Providence from Florida International where he served as a full time assistant for six seasons.
Coach Walsh also coordinates each summer camp. An Administrative Assistant to Coach Welsh at Iona, this tireless worker will evaluate talent and keep campers prepared for the varied activities throughout camp.
Coach Seymore will also join campers during breaks from summer recruiting. Campers will gain insight into the offensive and defensive development of guards and wingman.
Coach DeMeo will join campers during breaks from an intense month of recruiting. His lectures will help campers understand the importance of hard work.
