PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College men's basketball Head Coach Bryan Hodgson announced today (April 10) the hiring of Martin Stockwell and Jacqueline Grant to his staff. Stockwell and Grant both worked with Hodgson last season at the University of South Florida.

Stockwell and Grant join Tee Butters (associate head coach/general manager), Jamie Quarles (assistant coach), Derek Rongstad (assistant coach), Logan Ingram (assistant coach), Alex Harris (assistant coach) and Tyler Pacheco, (director of basketball operations) as members of Hodgson's staff.

"Marty and Jacqui are extremely loyal and dedicated and it will be a tremendous benefit to our program having them on staff," Hodgson said.  "I have known Marty for many years.  His knowledge of the game and his experience will be very beneficial to the growth of our team.  Jacqui brings a unique skill set as former player who understands how we want our program to operate."

Stockwell, who will serve as the director of player development, begins his second season on Bryan Hodgson's staff. Stockwell joined Hodgson in 2025-26 as the director of player personnel at the University of South Florida. Prior to arriving in Tampa, Stockwell spent 32 years at Jamestown High School in Jamestown, N.Y., where he served as the JV basketball coach from 1994-1997 and as a varsity assistant coach from 2000–2025.  During his tenure, he played an integral role in the program's growth and sustained success, contributing to multiple postseason appearances, leading the varsity team to the state final five times, including three out of the last four years before joining the Bulls' staff. Stockwell was Bryan Hodgson's head coach at the high school level (Jamestown High School).

Grant begins her first season as chief of staff for Head Coach Bryan Hodgson. Prior to arriving at Providence, she served as the director of basketball administration and alumni engagement at the University of South Florida. She joined USF Athletics in August 2022 and played a key role as a liaison between the men's and women's basketball programs and senior athletic leadership, while also collaborating closely with alumni relations and the External Department. In this role, she helped streamline communication, strengthen program alignment, and enhance engagement across multiple groups. Before her time at USF, Grant returned to her alma mater, DePaul University, where she was a member of the women's basketball program and graduated in 2017. Following her playing career under Hall of Fame head coach Doug Bruno, she served as the program's video coordinator during the 2019–20 season. She then transitioned to the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she served as an assistant coach from 2020–22, contributing to player development, scouting and overall program operations. Grant began her professional career at the University of South Florida as a graduate assistant from 2017–19, supporting Head Coach Jose Fernandez and his staff with the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program, both on the court and behind the scenes.
